Supporting men through grief and loss

This conference is aimed at raising awareness and promoting a better understanding of men’s emotional needs. Enabling professionals to provide meaningful and appropriate bereavement support and improved communication with men and their families at the most difficult and challenging times.
The day will be hosted by Kev Benson Senior Counsellor at The Donna Louise hospice for children and young people.
Guest speaker will be James Hawes MBACP (Accred) Psychotherapist| Trainer| School Counsellor Anger Management Consultant.
During the day, the audience will be invited to ask questions and share their experiences.
We will include the voices of pre and post bereaved families whose experience is important in helping professionals to understand and meet their needs.
Who should attend?
This conference is suitable for any professional involved in the provision of care/support to families who may be struggling to engage with the men. Attending this conference will help professionals to build confidence and develop skills when communicating with, and supporting men through the most difficult times.
