We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity, our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are around £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.

Community Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (Macmillan) Band 6 (30 hrs part time)

Based at St Ann’s Hospice, Little Hulton, Worsley, Manchester
SALARY: £25,533- 34,590 per annum, pro rata. Dependent on skills and experience and in line with Hospice Pay Scales

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced & innovative nurse to join our well established multi-disciplinary Community Specialist Palliative Care Team, working across the city of Salford and leading on the provision of specialist palliative care.

With the support of senior colleagues you will act as a resource in the community and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure and enable comprehensive, holistic care to meet the specialist needs of patients, their families and carers.

The successful candidate will have significant palliative care experience, a post registration qualification in palliative care, a relevant degree or equivalent, experience of teaching and a robust understanding and application of evidence based practice. A non-medical prescriber would be desirable. We require candidates who have the ability to work autonomously and within a multi-professional team. This is a seven day service and you will be required to work weekends
