This year’s ‘Moonlit Memories Walk’ will take place at a new venue Cobtree Manor Park in Aylesford on 5 October 2024.
Come along with family and friends to have fun and create new memories as we light up the night sky on a 5-mile charity walk in aid of Heart of Kent Hospice. There is also a 1 mile walk for those who would like a shorter route.
Sign up before 31 July to take advantage of the early bird ticket offer with 10% discount on all ticket prices. When booking there is also an option to add a Moonlit Memories Walk T-Shirt for £13 or a Dog Bandana for £4.
This is the first year the event has taken place at the beautiful Cobtree Manor Park and walkers can arrive from 5pm at the event village located inside the park to enjoy refreshments, live music and warm up acts before the walk begins at 6.30pm.
Refreshments including a glass of bubbles from the prosecco van will be available to purchase and face painting will also be available.
This event is one of the charity’s most important events and raises funds to provide compassionate end-of-life care and support for patients and their families at the Hospice or at home across Maidstone and surrounding areas.
The 5-mile route will take walkers on footpaths around Cobtree Manor Park and Golf Course with specially lit areas including along parts of the river.
There will also be a 1-mile family walk for anyone who would like to enjoy a shorter route.
A reflective lantern lit area will be available for anyone who would like to leave a special message in remembrance of a loved one.

About Heart of Kent Hospice
Heart of Kent Hospice has been providing free, compassionate, end-of-life care to people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding towns and villages for the past 33 years.
The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of its care, which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who awarded us with an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection in February 2017.
Our vision is for everyone living with a terminal illness in our community to achieve the best quality of life. We are committed to achieving this by enabling them to live in comfort, with independence and dignity to the end of their lives, and to support those closest to them.
Last year the Hospice cared for over 1,900 patients and their families in their own homes or at our Aylesford-based Hospice. Our charity needs to raise £6 million to deliver all the Hospices services, and we depend heavily on our loyal community of supporters, whose generous donations and fundraising activities raise money for us every year.
