The report highlights key accomplishments and advancements in palliative care across Africa through APCA‘s activities over the year.
To illustrate the report’s theme “The power of partnerships: Collaborating to restore dignity and quality of life”, a collage of stakeholders frames each section of the report, which covers: awareness, integration, evidence and sustainability.
Also included is an overview of new resources such as the Core Curriculum for Palliative Care, along with key competencies that are needed both by health professionals and by community care providers for quality palliative care service delivery.
These resources, together with APCA’s Standards for Providing Quality Palliative Care Across Africa, recently translated into Portuguese and French, provide a comprehensive package for supporting palliative care education across the continent.
