Hospice Kingston’s THE TIME IS NOW campaign cabinet presented the funds on Dec. 8.
“It is an honour and a privilege to Chair Hospice Kingston’s THE TIME IS NOW Capital Campaign to build a residential hospice,” Peter Kingston, Campaign Chair, THE TIME IS NOW Campaign Cabinet, said. “I am very proud to be joined by a team of dedicated community leaders who share their compassion and commitment and have come together to leverage their support both through time and financially. As Chair of the Capital Campaign I can say, without hesitation, that the time is now to build a residential hospice for the people of Kingston and I am confident our community will join our Cabinet and give generously to build a new home with a human touch for the dying in our community.”
Hospice Kingston, celebrating 30 years, has provided comfort, support and companionship to individuals and families living with a life-limiting illness or coping with grief and loss. The organizations long-term goal to establish a residential hospice for Kingston.
With its community partners, Hospice Kingston is committed to enhancing healthcare in the community and improving access to end-of-life care.
