Hospice Peterborough offers services to provide comfort, support and guidance as challenges and difficult decisions arise in these circumstances. In addition to the services already provided, since 2004, Hospice Peterborough has been working towards building a 10 bed residential hospice that would provide care in a homelike setting for those who are approaching death. Hospice Peterborough also provides community education to raise awareness about hospice palliative care through workshops, seminars and newsletters. As a client of Hospice Peterborough explains, the sentiment the facility seeks to advance is that “Hospice is not about dying…it’s about living, and living your life to the end and to the fullest.”
