During the conference’s opening ceremony, which was attended by approximately 1000 hospice palliative care professionals and volunteers from the French-speaking world, she announced that the Quebec government was committing $15M to palliative care. Of the $15M, $4M has been designated to creating more hospice beds in care centers, while the remaining $11M is allocated to improving palliative care at home.
