The organization’s founder and director, Olga Nikolajev, is a nurse educator, grief counsellor, and dying well advocate. She facilitates workshops, public events and online death chats in order to normalize conversations about end of life. Dying Matters has planned two free, publicly available Advance Care Planning workshops planned in Central Ontario around National ACP Day.
- April 16th at the Madoc Public Library at 1 pm.
- April 20th at the Tweed Public Library at 10 am.
These workshops will facilitate open and honest conversations about advance care planning and health care consent. Participants will learn about the five steps of advance care planning and will be encouraged to think about who they would want to make health care decisions for them should they become unable to.
For more information about these and other events planned for April, go to the Dying Matters website.
