The Indian Association of Palliative Care in collaboration with the Uttara Karnataka Mahila Okkoota and Samraksha, are delighted to present a webinar on, ‘Understanding Women in Sex Work: A First step towards inclusion in palliative care services’, on Thursday, 2nd June, 2022, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. (IST)
The webinar aims to commemorate the International Sex Workers Day, by providing a perspective to the PC Community on the socio legal framework within which sex work operates in Indian Society; provide an overview of the different ways in which sex work operates in the country and the identities of the different women practicing sex work; highlight how involvement in sex work affects support structures for women, and its impact on care; and Highlight the issues faced by this group of women while accessing health care services.
