Professional photographs capture a precious short life

Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger battled to get pregnant for years but on the 17th of December the couple was blessed with a beautiful set of twins: one boy and one girl. At 23 weeks of Lyndsey’s pregnancy things took an unexpected turn when doctors told the couple their son would be stillborn. “He just had a bunch of abnormalities, the left side of his heart wasn’t functioning. With twins you have frequent ultrasounds, they said we just see something abnormal with the heart and sent me to maternal fetal medicine,” said Lyndsay.

11 days of joy
To the Brentlinger’s and doctor’s surprise, Lyndsay gave birth to two beautiful babies, Reagan and William, and brought both of them home. For 11 days the family of four enjoyed the little time they had together. Matthew, the twin’s father said “They were the happiest 11 days of my life.”

A friend of the Brentlinger’s contacted professional photographer Lindsey Brown to capture the precious time the Brentlinger’s had with their son. After 11 beautiful days, William passed away.

Something to cherish
On seeing the final photographs, Lyndsay said, “I cried the first time I looked at them. I still cry sometimes. They are beautiful and he is beautiful. In some of them, you can see he is wide awake with his big beautiful eyes. It’s something we will definitely cherish.”
