In February 2014 the ICPCN will be holding its very first conference in collaboration with the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. A call for abstracts has been circulated with a deadline of midnight GMT on 15 August 2013.

The theme for ICPCN’s first conference is Transforming Children’s Palliative Care – From Ideas to Action and aims to ‘reach around the globe’ to address the issues that challenge all of us caring for children faced with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and show how we can put our ideas into practice. We welcome submissions reflecting the theme from all areas of children’s palliative care and invite your active participation in this event. Abstracts may be submitted for concurrent, workshops and poster presentations.
There will be nine broad themes for the different tracks:
- Action in Clinical Care
- Action in Programme Development
- Action in Education
- Action in Research
- Action in Advocacy
- Action in Ethics
- Action in Leadership
- Action in Sustainability
- Action in Collaboration
Presentations should promote excellence in practice, culturally appropriate and inclusive care, advocacy, accountability, and relevant policy experiences and solutions. Share your experience by submitting a proposal that demonstrates your work and achievements in these areas.
