APCA/HPCA conference– The Net Effect: Spanning Diseases Crossing Borders

The conference will be held from 17 – 20 September 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

According to the two organizations:

“This conference is about coming together to improve the lives of African patients living with life-threatening illnesses through innovation and dialogue. It’s about bringing your area of expertise to the table in an exchange of ideas to uphold and strengthen the health care systems that African patients and their families rely upon for physical, social, psychological and emotional support.”

Abstracts may now be submitted around the theme “The net effect: spanning diseases crossing borders”. Delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts for a 20-minute oral presentation, for workshops or for a poster presentation.

The conference organizers have also called for entries to the APCA Palliative Care Public Health Policy and Advocacy Awards for Africa, and the 2013 APCA Palliative Care Journalist Award for Africa.
