Call for Suggestions for 2026 World Hospice and Palliative Care Day Theme

Categories: Education.

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) is celebrated and marked each year on the second Saturday of October. Next year, it will be on 10 October 2026. Each year, the WHPCA team gives a lot of thought to the theme, which is used the world over to advocate for better palliative care services for people living with palliative care needs.

The WHPCA invites you to share suggestions for the theme for the coming year, 2026. Your valuable contribution will be carefully taken into consideration, and who knows? Maybe your suggested theme will be selected. If your suggestion is selected, we can share your name and picture on our digital platforms, giving you a shout-out for your brilliant contribution.

You are welcome to share your thoughts and suggestions with WHPCA via the Google form link. Click Here.

We look forward to receiving your feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

  1. Tang Lee Buay

    “Care Beyond Cure”

Focus: Shifting mindsets — palliative care is not about giving up hope and treatment

When healing is no longer possible, caring always is

Support for body, mind, and heart

  2. I would like to suggest the theme: “(Where People Are, Care Should Be).

The wording is intentionally flexible and can be complemented with terms such as compassionate care, dignity, or palliative care, depending on the final direction.

    Thank you for your consideration.
