With the 2nd International Children’s Palliative Care Network(ICPCN) conference fast approaching, attendees can look forward to an impressive day full of pre-conference courses and workshops.
Half day or full day courses will take place at the conference venue in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, 18 May, on the following topics:
- Principles of Children’s Palliative Care (presented by Herman Garcia, Karina Gomez, Dr Natalie Rodriguez Zamora and Elena Bernada)
- Developing CPC Programmes in low resource settings (presented by Lynna Chandra, Dr Pradnya Talawadekar and Anna Gorchakova)
- Ethics in decision making (presented by Dr Richard Hain, Dr María Susana Ciruzzi, Fr. Rick Bauer and Dr Yuriko Nakashima)
- Less recognised aspects of children’s palliative care (presented by Laura Doumic, Claudia Liniado, Felipe Acosta and Eduardo Lagomarsino)
- Palliative care for adolescents (presented by Dr Marianne Phillips, Dr Teresa Mendez and Dr Eulalia Lascar)
- Workshop on pain management ( presented by Dr Stefan Friedrichsdorf, Dr Ross Drake, Dr Alison Twycross and Dr Veronica Dussel)
