#CPCDialog discusses children’s palliative care at an international level

Categories: Community Engagement.

Research recently undertaken by the International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) revealed that worldwide there are over 21 million babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, however, less than 1% of these 21 million are receiving palliative care. Given these astounding statistics there is a great need to develop children’s palliative care at an international level.

As the central hub for children’s palliative care internationally, the ICPCN will be hosting a tweetchat to discuss the important topic of children’s palliative care at an international level. ‘Guest-tweeters’ will include Joan Marston, ICPCN Chief Executive Officer and Prof Julia Downing, ICPCN Director of Education and Research and honorary professor at Makerere University, Kampala. With the important discussion lead by these two experts, it promises to be an incredibly insightful and fruitful session for all participants.
