Director of Hospice Support and Development

Help the Hospices, the national leader, membership body and voice for hospice care is looking to recruit a new Director to support hospices in their business of delivering high quality community engaged palliative and end of life care, and to assist in their development. This is a key role within Help the Hospices and an exciting opportunity for someone interested to engage in national leadership and support of hospice care. The successful candidate will enjoy leadership opportunities within the organisation and beyond, working closely with local hospices, and other national players in the arena of end of life care and the voluntary sector. 

As a member of the Executive Strategy Group the Director of Hospice Support and Development will help shape culture, corporate plans and their delivery.

We are looking to recruit an experienced leader who is confident and skilled in the establishment and management of multiple relationships. He/she will be a strategic thinker, experienced in service innovation and development who will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills to the role.The successful postholder will offer proven experience in supporting others to achieve change and will enjoy working in a rapidly changing sector that requires dexterity in approach and high energy in response to new challenges. Ideally he/she will have experience of charity management and a working knowledge of community engagement and income generation.
