Join African and international researchers at the pre-conference research workshop ahead of the 5th International African Palliative Care Conference

The workshop will enable delegates to develop their research skills through presentations and exercises presented by researchers who have experience of research methods applied to palliative care in Africa.

As part of the workshop, delegates will:

  • learn specific methods and skills requires to successfully design and conduct research
  • hear from African colleagues who have delivered high-quality research using different methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods)
  • learn from delegates at the last workshop (2013) on how an idea has progressed to implementation
  • practice study design based on the 2013 research priorities.

This workshop is aimed at multi-professional delegates (nurses, social workers, clinical officers, doctors, pharmacists, allied health professionals, researchers, and educators) who are currently, or would like to be, involved in research in palliative care in Africa.

BuildCARE Africa small Research Grants scheme 

The BuildCARE Africa Small Research Grants scheme will be launched during the workshop.
