Chairing the meeting organised by the Spanish Cancer Association under the theme ‘Cancer: Treatment and care for all and at all stages of the illness’, the Queen said: “Although we may not believe it, in this country there are currently thousands of people who need palliative care but for different reasons they do not have access to it.”
The Queen dealt with different aspects of palliative care during her speech, including confronting fear, and communication with patients and their families.
