WHO redefines universal health care to include palliative care

The report cites palliative care as one of the “needed health services” that, along with financial risk protection, comprise the concept of universal health coverage.

The inclusion of palliative care in the definition of universal health coverage is a result of sucessful palliative care advocacy, and an extremely useful reference for future advocacy work.
