The new Alliance was launched in May at the World Health Assembly in Geneva by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI).
The Alliance is the first global body to bring together NGOs, professional associations, governments and other members of the wider civil society to raise awareness and tackle dementia internationally.
The first meeting of the Alliance is to be held in New York next week, during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level review on non-communicable diseases.
