Minister seeks public input on cancer strategy

Categories: Care.

“The new National Cancer Strategy will set the direction for cancer services for the next ten years. Members of the public and organisations can have their say on how the new strategy should be developed, by submitting their views on the development of policy and services by 24th July,” Minister Varadkar said.

Minister Varadkar has established a Cancer Strategy Steering Group, chaired by Professor John Kennedy, to advise the Department of Health on developing the new Strategy. The consultation process will inform the work of the Steering Group.

“We want to hear the public’s views on what works in cancer services, and what can be improved. I encourage everyone interested in the future direction of cancer services to make a contribution.”

The consultation document can be accessed from the Department of Health’s website.
