Faraja Cancer Support Trust creates a sharing platform for cancer patients

Categories: Care.

Faraja Cancer Support Trust is giving patients and family members a chance to talk to other patients living with cervical cancer.

Through its Cervical/Ovarian cancer support group, Faraja Cancer Support Trust will offer a platform where patients will share their cancer experience and how they have lived through it.

The event will take place on October 16, 2012 at Faraja Cancer Care as from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Dr. Hellena Musau of Cancer Care Kenya will give a talk on ‘Intimacy after treatment’ to the participants.

The Faraja Cancer Support Trust was founded in 2010 with the aim of providing emotional, practical and healing support to anyone affected by cancer.

It offers cancer patients and their carers information, advice, counseling and complementary therapies in order to make their cancer journey a little more manageable.

The Trust’s aim is to take patients beyond medical treatment through offering them a holistic approach to coping with the challenges of cancer.
