Getting Colourful for Cancer

Lace Up For Cancer is back by popular demand and take place Saturday, 24 February 2023. The event is hosted in aid of World Cancer Day and all proceeds will go to charity.

Walking and running options will be available at with the beautiful and scenic route at the Anura Wine Farm Vineyard, at Klapmuts, Stellenbosch.

The HPCA in collaboration with the Cancer Alliance and CANSA and are encouraging the public to participate and bring your family and friends laced up in their craziest outfit and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the wine farm thereafter.

Leigh Meinert, Advocacy Manager for HPCA, says, “We were delighted when CANSA approached us to revive this wonderful event which was paused during the pandemic. Over the years, we’ve had up to 5,000 people attending and it’s been a wonderful way to raise awareness and show our support for cancer patients and survivors. In 2023, we’re looking forward to trying something different and hosting Lace Up on a wine farm.”

There will be a 3km walking route (R100) and 5km (R150) and 10km (R200) running options.C hildren under the age of 12 are free. To register online visit and secure your entry. The event will start at 07h30 for the 10km and 08h00 for the 3km – 5km.
