Teenagers from across the Western Cape took the stage at the Baxter Theatre and gave it their all in the hopes of winning the Hidden Lives, Hidden Talents show and R25 000 worth of prizes.
The celebrity judges tasked with the tough decision of choosing the winner were talent scout America Bragaglia, Cape Town Ballet Senior Soloist, Xola Putye and actress and Good Hope FM presenter, Ayanda Tini with Guy McDonald as the MC.Razaan Phillips, wowed the judges with her rendition of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love and won first place.
“To have had the honour of winning such an inspirational talent show was unbelievable. In this case it was not about winning but to raise funds for palliative care and to create awareness for World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. I was so surprised by all the talent that was displayed on the evening. To have had the opportunity to perform at the Baxter Theatre in front of such an enthusiastic audience and popular judges was such a thrilling experience.” the 16 year old from Rustenburg Girls’ High School said about her experience.
Shayla Dos Santos (16), sang Birdy’s People Help the People and was chosen as the runner up wining R14 000 in prizes.This Fairmont High School pupil was also offered a talent representation by America Bragaglia.
