At a presentation to Board members and staff of Helderberg Hospice on Monday 21 January 2019, CEO Gail Sykes announced that Helderberg Hospice will retain its name but will now be marketed as Helderberg Hospice Palliative Care Specialists.

Palliative care is an approach which focuses on improving the quality of life of patients and their families facing the unique problems associated with being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. This is done through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of early identification, impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and associated symptoms, and by providing the emotional, physical, psychosocial and spiritual support the patient and their family may require.

We are a five star Hospice, providing specialised Palliative Care services to all in the Helderberg basin since 1986. Due to our extensive experience, competence, and highly qualified Palliative Care Nursing Consultants, and Palliative Care Social Work Consultants working with the back-up of our 24 hour Support Centre, we are well qualified to call ourselves your Palliative Care Specialists.

Helderberg Hospice Palliative Care Specialists are at your service to support and care for you and your loved ones at a time when you need it most. We invite you to contact us on 021 852 4608 with any questions or enquiries you may have.
