Wrap Amanzimtoti in pink for cancer

Newly elected Amanzimtoti Rotary Club president, Dr Penny Orton, is not letting the grass grow under her feet. Her and past president, Aneska Dupont are tackling their first annual project, known as the Pink Tree Drive.

People, companies and clubs are asked to buy pink material from the club. “We are selling the material at R100 for four metres and ask supporters to wrap the trees in their gardens, roads, pillars on their verandas, gate posts, poles, fences or whatever you want in pink.

This is all in support of cancer and the money collected will be donated to Khanya Hospice that has been doing sterling work in the Toti area for 35 years now. Cancer is a reality and this is where its palliative nursing care comes in,” said Penny.

Anyone who would like to get involved in this project or purchase some material, can call Penny on 082-453-8442 or Aneska on 083-255-2588.
