BIHR and Sue Ryder invite you to attend a learning event about human rights and end of life care.

Our human rights are the basic rights and freedoms we have simply because we are human. They underpin many of the situations professionals caring for people at the end of their lives may come across in their day to day work.

This training aims to empower health and social care professionals by providing an overview and framework to navigate the human rights involved in everyday actions and decisions in end of life care.

The events will cover:

  • An introduction to the current policy context of end of life care
  • An introduction to the Human Rights Act
  • The relationship between human rights and end of life care
  • Using human rights in practice and how to raise human rights issues

The same event is also taking place in Leeds on 2 February.
