Adult Counselling and Support Service Co-ordinator for the Shakespeare Hospice
21 hours per week
Salary £25783-£34530 pro rata depending on experience
The Shakespeare Hospice is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Adult Counselling and Support Service Co-ordinator who will provide open-access, pre- and post-bereavement counselling and support.
The successful candidate will hold a Diploma of Counselling and a current registration with a relevant counselling body, eg BACP, and have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of working in Palliative Care and/or Bereavement Counselling.
The Adult Counselling and Support Service Co-ordinator will be responsible for managing the referral process; recruitment, supervision and training of volunteers; and be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. You will also be the primary resource and training lead for Hospice staff on issues of grief, bereavement and loss.
The post will be subject to a DBS disclosure.
