Help the Hospices was founded in 1984 and is the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK. Our work aims to represent and support our member hospices and work with them and other organisations to develop and improve hospice and palliative care throughout the UK and across the world.
The Advocacy & Policy Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing advocacy activities in support of agreed priorities, and developing policy and influencing government and other external agencies on behalf of local hospices and in the interests of people at the end of life and their carers.
We need someone able to design and implement campaign activities and who has excellent communication skills. You will have the ability to assimilate and analyse complex information, a good understanding of the political process and some previous experience of working within a policy, public affairs, research or campaigning environment.
