Salary: Band 6 £31,249 – £41,218 (pro rata) per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 22.5 hours Per Week (Open to Job Share)
An exciting opportunity has been developed at St Joseph’s Hospice for an Arts Coordinator. We seek a self-directed, enthusiastic, energetic, passionate and empathic person with a strong background in the arts and of working with funders to create sustainable arts projects. Tasked with developing a programme of in house and public arts activities (including a biennial art auction) for people who use St Joseph’s Hospice services, you will have an appreciation of the benefits that the arts can bring to people facing the challenges of serious ill health. Working within the rich and diverse communities that the hospice serves you will be committed to ensuring that the arts are a key aspect of developing the types of Compassionate Communities that best meet the needs of our patients and those important to them.
You will need:
- Significant experience of developing the arts (and/or arts programmes) and making them accessible to a range of groups and individuals
- An understanding of the benefits of the arts for people living with life limiting illness and an ability to convey this vision to others, specifically potential funders
- The ability to work alone but also alongside a range of individuals, volunteers and staff groups to develop a new programme of arts activity with limited financial resources
