FULL TIME BEREAVEMENT SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR / COUNSELLOR
(Fixed Term for 12 months)
37.5 hours per week. Job share may be considered.
Salary: Band 7 from £37,659 to £47,778 per annum inclusive
We are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced person to work in our adult bereavement team. This team provides counselling and support to bereaved people who are relatives of hospice patients or Hackney residents.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident individual with a counselling qualification who has been able to demonstrate appropriate experience of providing support and counselling to bereaved people and supervising the work of others.
A significant part of the role will be to develop the service for Hackney residents whose bereavements were not connected to hospice care, to widen our referrals and expand the variety of support provided, particularly to meet the needs of minority groups.
You will need to have proven communication and organisational skills and, in return, we will offer you a stimulating job with regular supervision and opportunities for professional development.
This is a fixed term contract for twelve months with the possibility of renewal subject to funding being secured and attainment of objectives. This service is funded by City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group.
