Come along with family and friends to an exclusive event at ‘Blooming Green’ in Linton on 9 September 2024 between 2 and 6pm and enjoy an open day in aid of Heart of Kent Hospice.
This is the perfect opportunity to see a unique side of local flower farming while supporting your local Hospice.
Blooming Green is a hidden gem at Loddington Farm in Kent where visitors can explore this enchanting venue and admire the beauty of the flower fields in full bloom. After exploring there is an opportunity to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of something nice!
Book onto one of the tours and admire the stunning array of seasonal flowers and learn about sustainable floriculture from the Blooming Green team. You can even pick a few blossoms to take home.
This special day is not just about enjoying nature’s splendour; it’s also a chance to support Heart of Kent Hospice with 20% of proceeds from all Pick Your Own (PYO) flower bouquets purchased during this event going to the charity. All other donations and sales from refreshments will also go to Heart of Kent Hospice.
About the venue: Blooming Green was founded in 2007 by cousins Bek & Jen and has since grown into a happy team of staff and volunteers who, together, form the unique business that exists today. Established on an acre of ground, that was once a Bramley apple orchard, the company now grows flowers and foliage on various sites — although the original flower plot at Loddington Farm is still at the heart of the business. Chemical-free, no-dig and what many people call their ‘happy place’… their flower plot is somewhere they love to share with their customers.
Visitors should book tours in advance and there is a suggested donation of £3. There are 30 places available with tours taking place at 3pm and 5pm.

This event is new this year and the Hospice would love to hear from any owners of gardens (private or already open to the public), vineyards or attractions who are interested in hosting an open day in aid of the Hospice in 2025.
Heart of Kent Hospice has been providing free, compassionate, end-of-life care to people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding towns and villages for the past 33 years.
The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of its care, which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who awarded us with an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection in February 2017.
Our vision is for everyone living with a terminal illness in our community to achieve the best quality of life. We are committed to achieving this by enabling them to live in comfort, with independence and dignity to the end of their lives, and to support those closest to them.
Last year the Hospice cared for over 1,900 patients and their families in their own homes or at our Aylesford-based Hospice. Our charity needs to raise £6 million to deliver all the Hospices services, and we depend heavily on our loyal community of supporters, whose generous donations and fundraising activities raise money for us every year.
