Salary: £24,170 p.a.
Full-time 37.5 hours per week flexible based at either Chestnut Tree House, Arundel or our Eastbourne Office, with some working from home.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex. We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses across East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire.
Primarily covering an area that includes Brighton and Hove, Lewes and Crowborough, this vital role will involve maximising funds from local communities for Chestnut Tree House. You will lead and be responsible for the community fundraising plans and activities in your area and will be the face of Chestnut Tree House in your communities. Your role will grow our established supporter networks and raise the profile of the hospice, championing all aspects of our work, developing and sustaining relationships with the local community, SMEs, professional bodies and other fundraising groups, including our ‘Friends’ volunteer groups.
We are looking for a target-driven individual who will work proactively to maximise and grow income. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years’ experience in fundraising, preferably community fundraising, sales, or promotions, together with a good standard of education. You will be an excellent communicator with well-developed public speaking and presentation skills, together with the flexibility to work independently whilst remaining part of the Community Fundraising Team. A driving licence and car are essential for this post as you will be required to travel all over East Sussex and some out of hours working will also be involved.
