Child and Family Bereavement Support Worker/Social Worker

Salary Scale Band 6 Equivalent £27,369 – £30,942 WTE

(£22,191 to £25,088 for 30 hours per week)

We are celebrating our 20 anniversary of providing specialist palliative care in North Wales. We are now seeking an enthusiastic, confident, innovative, and HCPC registered Social Worker with post qualifying experience in a healthcare setting and experience in bereavement support or children’s services.

You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and social work assessment skills, and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the social, psychological and spiritual needs of individuals and families facing advanced disease, death and bereavement.

Nightingale House Hospice provides high quality palliative and end of life care to a significant and growing number of people living with a life limiting illness in North east Wales and beyond. It employs a multi-disciplinary team of staff, who work across inpatient and outpatient services delivering individualized, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers.

The role requires skills in discharge coordination for our in-patient and pre and post-bereavement support.
