Children’s hospice holds board meeting at London Muslim Centre

Categories: Community Engagement.

Richard House has a strong relationship with the London Muslim Centre, having worked together on a number of activities in the past, such as the Hospice Care Week event held at the Centre last October. Additionally, the chairman of the board of Richard House, Robin Knowles CBE QC, is chairman of pro bono at the London Muslim Centre.

The move into the community for one of the hospice’s regular business meetings is part of continued efforts by Richard House to increase engagement with its local community, to help develop a deeper understanding of the people it serves. One of the hospice’s over arching goals is to provide support for the wider, local community to recognise its ability to respond in dealing effectively with death, dying, loss and grief.

Peter Ellis, hospice chief executive, said: “We’d like to thank our friends at the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre for enabling us to meet in the community. We welcome our continued collaboration with them.”
