St Peter’s Hospice is a well-established charity, operational for 35 years, focussed on supporting and delivering high-quality, community-based Palliative and End of Life Care to patients with incurable, progressive disease in the wider Bristol area who have complex and/or intense needs.
We offer access to Community Nurse Specialists, an 18-bedded In-patient Unit, Day Hospice, Out-patient, Hospice@Home and Bereavement Care. These services are provided by a fully staffed multidisciplinary team and are further supported by an Education Department that delivers a wide range of internal and external education and training.
This is a new role which has been created to support governance and offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of the senior clinical team to develop and expand our practice and services.
The 2 main components of the role are:
- To take the lead in quality initiatives across our services as a whole
- To provide operational leadership for our IPU and Day Services and use your expertise to further develop specialist care and practice in these areas
You will need extensive management experience coupled with extensive knowledge of Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care. You will be a resilient person
who can bring wisdom, warmth, creativity and excellent communication skills to the team – someone who can learn from others whilst providing actively engaged leadership.
