This key role focuses on maximising funds from local communities in the areas of Eastbourne, Hailsham, Bexhill and Hastings. You will be responsible for community fundraising plans and activities and will be the face of Chestnut Tree House in local communities. You will raise the profile of the hospice and champion all aspects of our work, developing and sustaining relationships with the local community, corporates, professional bodies and other fundraising groups including our ‘Friends’ volunteer groups.
We are looking for a target-driven individual with at least two years’ experience in fundraising, ideally community fundraising, together with a good standard of education. You will be an excellent communicator with well-developed presentation skills and advanced networking ability. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to manage themself and their own initiatives, working from home or in the field, whilst remaining a part of the community fundraising team.
A driving licence and car are essential for this post as you will be required to travel all over East Sussex and to Chestnut Tree House. Some out-of-hours working will also be involved.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £24,170 p.a.
