Hospice Band 6, £25,280 – £34,248 Pro-rata 

Working hours 15 hours per week

We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are around £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.

You will join our well established Patient & Family Support Team. This is a multi-disciplinary team, providing Social Work, Bereavement support, Chaplaincy, Psychological support and Counselling across the organisation.

The post holder will contribute to the provision of a high quality counselling service for patients and their families across 3 sites and delivering individual and group supervision to the volunteer counsellors.

The post holder will be expected to work within the policy framework of the hospice in its provision of specialist palliative and supportive care by ensuring that the work of the Counselling Services Team and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) allows the aims and objectives of the organisation to be met.
