Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a Herts/Bucks based charity giving patients with life-limiting illnesses the choice to stay at home. Our mission is to offer excellent palliative and end-of-live care based around patients and their families both day and night. 

Rennie Grove’s mission is to offer excellent palliative and end-of-life care based around patients and their families both day and night. This year we’ll care for over 3,000 patients. As a charity and with no charge for our service, our retail and trading operation is a key function which contributes significantly to the £6.8 million income we need each year to ensure we can actively respond to the growing demands for our care. 

As Director of Retail and Trading you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling us to meet our funding targets. Using your proven commercial acumen you’ll maximise our income and profits from new and existing retail and trading ventures. 

As a member of the senior management team you will lead the development and delivery of the Retail and Trading strategy and successfully deliver all operational plans. With your innovative and pro-active approach, you will readily identify suitable new business opportunities and be effective in making the most of them. 

As a leader, your ability to manage and develop the teams of staff and volunteers who carry out this work is essential. Be it our place on the high street, through our online presence or behind the scenes operations, you’ll recognise that the service we give to the community is key to our success and ensure that Rennie Grove values and customer satisfaction are at the forefront of our work. 

The successful candidate will be a senior manager who can demonstrate a highly successful career to date in a similar role including meeting financial targets, developing new business and managing effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and customers.

Flexibility is required around working hours to attend evening / weekend events and meetings. Car owner and current UK driving licence essential.

Benefits include 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays per annum and pension.
