The End of Life Rights Advocacy (ELRA) project is delivered by a partnership between Compassion in Dying and Age UK East London, and is funded by The Big Lottery Fund.
The pilot programme aims to increase awareness of local services such as GPs, care homes and community groups, and will provide information about end of life rights and options. Training and support for Age UK East London volunteers will also be provided to support the service.
The programme will begin in Newham, Hackney and Tower Hamlets on 14 January 2013. It will be led by the End of Life Rights Advocacy Project Developer, who will promote the project, build relationships and create local initiatives to raise awareness and ensure that isolated and vulnerable older people can access the project.
Contact Age UK East London or Compassion in Dying for more information about the project.
