Willow Wood Hospice is passionate about improving the availability and quality of bereavement support to the people of Tameside and Glossop we serve.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Bereavement Counsellor to join the Willow Wood Hospice team.
Our strategy is to develop our existing service to address the needs of families in Tameside and Glossop who are facing bereavement and living after loss with support and counselling appropriate to their needs, including increasing provision of care to children. You will manage a team, including volunteers, and have experience of training, knowledge of the evidence base and recognised guidance as well as experience in audit and quality assurance.
Management experience, innovative thinking and creative approaches to service delivery, with an ability to adapt to the changing healthcare environment, will be an essential quality, as well as a proven record in delivering patient and family centred care.
A counselling qualification is essential, while a bereavement qualification is preferred.
Please contact Matron Karen Vallantine or Dr Michael Tapleyin the first instance for an informal discussion and further information on 0161 330 1100.
