As the pace of life slows just a little for people around the world to celebrate various festive occasions, we at ehospice are taking a moment to reflect on the past few months since this uniquely collaborative international venture first launched.
Going live on 2 October, ehospice brought together hospice and palliative care organisations and news from around the world into the one place.
In the UK we launched with a breadth of news from the hospice and palliative care world, including a welcome from various international partners and news about the Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to Hospis Malaysia, as well as everything from anniversaries and awards to education and politics.
Soon after launch we celebrated Hospice Care Week in the UK, culminating in World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, with a highlight of the week being a landmark event around collaboration between Muslim and hospice communities.
Since then we have covered a vast range of news, including much about the Liverpool Care Pathway media attention, a range of articles about dementia, numerous local hospice stories and much much more.

ehospice on the go
The iPad app version of ehospice was first available and announced at Help the Hospices ‘Community engagement’ conference in Manchester, UK on 29 November 2012, where more than 300 delegates gathered to discuss the future of hospice care.
The iPhone app and mobile website versions are under development and expect to be launched early in 2013, which will make accessing your palliative care news, views and inspiration even more convenient wherever you are.
