Salary Range: £18,838 to £22,016 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week

Temporary post for up to 12 months however it is possible this post may be made permanent.

St Gemma’s Hospice is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK. The Hospice provides expert palliative and end of life care, in a quality environment, for thousands of local people each year. St Gemma’s has a fundraising target of over £6 million per year. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to work as part of our busy, dynamic and successful team. 

You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of community fundraising initiatives and some smaller events. Previous experience in fundraising or event management is essential for the role. Experience of working with volunteers is desirable. You will need excellent computer, communication and presentation skills and the confidence to deliver an oral presentation is essential.

It is essential that you have the ability to plan effectively and meet tight deadlines. You will be responsible for a large financial target which will involve providing income reports for your line manager as well as managing your expenditure budgets. Excellent time management is essential in this role due to the large workload and demanding supporter database.

You must be able to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends). Ability to drive and use of a car is essential.
