Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice provides community, hospital and inpatient specialist palliative and supportive care to people with life limiting illnesses and their families within the London boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. With around a third of our income coming from the government we must raise over £4 million from the local community through individual supporters, businesses and community groups each year.

Fundraiser – Trusts and Major Donors
Salary Band 5
£13,488 to £17,968 for 21 hours per week plus excellent benefits

We are seeking to recruit a Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser to research, secure and maximise income from trusts and high net worth individuals for the Hospice to support the provision of quality compassionate care to our patients, their carers and families.

With a degree level education, the successful candidate will have 3 years’ experience of working in a trust and major donor fundraising role, and significant proven success in generating income from trusts, foundations, and HNWI. With a track record of securing major grants, you will have a good understanding of the principles of customer service and donor care, and have a record of sound working relationships with heads of departments and funders.

With strong communication and report writing skills, you will have a good understanding of working within a palliative care setting. With energy and motivation, you will be used to working on your own initiative to manage your workload to meet deadlines and targets.

Experience in the use of a fundraising database such as Raiser’s Edge would be beneficial.
