St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House in Worthing provides care to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses. Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex providing care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to become part of the Fundraising Team at St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House.

Based at St Barnabas House in Worthing, you will be directly responsible to the Fundraising Development Manager. Your principal role is Trust/Foundation research, application writing, and carrying out any other trust funding action that is required, as well as administration support in Legacy and Major Donor fundraising.

You must have relevant experience (preferably in trust funding) with a track record of success; you will need to have first-rate communication skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly and succinctly. You will be used to working under pressure and be a good organiser who is flexible, adaptable and able to work independently within a small team.

A driving licence and access to a car is desirable for this post.
