Grants for convalescence, recuperative and respite care

Categories: Care.

Grants are made to enable beneficiaries to stay at places such as The Grove in Bournemouth, Rustington Convalescent Home in Littlehampton, Bridge House in Dawlish, hotels and self-catering accommodation.

Although the main purpose of the trust is to make grants to pay for periods of convalescence, recuperative and respite care there is also a very small fund available to make grants to cover the cost of essential items for those in need and who are unable to afford to purchase basic items. For example, washing machines, fridges and cookers. Please note that grants cannot be made for bills of any description.

Applications for grants must be made on an application form available from the address below.

Grant applications cannot be accepted direct from potential beneficiaries, their friends or families, they must be made by a third party, for example a nurse, GP, social worker or other professionally qualified health or care worker.

The Victoria Convalescent Trust has a policy of not liaising with potential grant beneficiaries, their families or friends. Any communication must be through the referring agency.
