From £40,000 per annum
‘Communities supporting communities’ is the model of care that is central to our new Hospice strategy. Having already implemented a volunteer led Hospice Neighbours service and being about to open our first Outreach Centre, we are eager to strengthen our influence in local communities further.
As an Ambassador for community development, this role will lead and manage the Community Partnerships service, engaging passionately at ground level with service providers, groups, patients, carers and family members to understand what local health needs and opinions are in relation to caring for people at the end of their lives. By doing so you will develop positive relationships and facilitate opportunities for local people to support those ‘living with dying’ in their own neighbourhood.
As a senior role, you will manage people (both paid staff and volunteers), develop leadership abilities, and work as part of an inter-disciplinary team to achieve visible outcomes.
