Jospice is a long established charity offering quality care for terminally ill people, in its 29-bedded facility at Thornton, Liverpool and supporting a number of projects overseas.
The charity needs income of over £3M for its work of which over half has to be raised from its own fundraising and trading. We are seeking a senior fundraising manager to lead a significant section of our fundraising team and to have hands-on responsibility (with support) for running and developing our programme of major fundraising events.
Overview of the post
The post has two main elements:
- To be responsible for defined areas of income generation which fall under the heading “community fundraising” and to lead the team responsible for those areas with the aim of maximising income from them for the charity.
- To have hands-on responsibility for organising and developing the programme of fundraising events run directly by the charity.
