Healthcare charities celebrate share of £1.12m fund

27^th August 2026 – 36 charities working within the health sector have received a funding boost in the first half of 2026 through the Benefact Group Movement for Good Awards, helping them to continue supporting the nation’s health.

27 charities received a £1,000 donation, while the other 10 received a £5,000 donation as part of the Group’s special draws.

Those who received £1,000 include NHS Trusts, hospices and regional Mind networks, while £5,000 was donated to charities including The Tom Henson Charity, which helps to put defibrillators into communities, and Little Lifts (also received £1,000), which is on a mission to provide free gift boxes to every breast cancer patient across the UK.

Now in its eighth year, Benefact Group Movement for Good is giving away more than £1 million to charities in 2026. Once again, members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts.

The Special Draw grant will enable us to provide between 74 and 112 Little Lifts Boxes to people affected by breast cancer, helping them feel supported and not alone as they face what can often be a daunting programme of treatment. Your support will help us get closer to achieving our aim of gifting 14,175 Little Lifts Boxes this year.
