Hospice introduces online forum to support clinical supervision

Categories: Care.

The new forum complements a Clinical Toolkit recently launched by the hospice, which ehospice reported on earlier this year.

Following the success of the toolkit and interest in the subject, Helen & Douglas House opted to produce an online tool offering staff the opportunity discuss clinical supervision plans, share successes and learn from the collective experience of other practitioners.

Speaking about the new forum, Lucie Mayer who has coordinated the project, said: “Understanding the benefits of and being committed to the delivery of effective clinical supervision is central to making clinical supervision work.

“However, even with this knowledge and commitment, making good quality clinical supervision available for staff in our organisations, in a way that is sustainable, cost effective and most importantly works for them, can be challenging.

“We envisage that members will use the forum to share literature, resources, tips and good practice and to enable all of us to ask questions of our colleagues working practically in the field.”

The forum has been set up as a Google group. There is a joining process, but once you are a member the forum very simple to use.  Please go online to join the group. Instructions can also be found in this step-by-step joining guide.

“We look forward to being part of a lively forum led by the interest and knowledge of the members,” added Lucy.
